RIYADH, 6 February — The Ministry of Health has ordered that no male doctor should examine a female patient except in the presence of a close relative or a female nurse. The order said the nurse should not leave the room before the completion of the examinations and the patient’s departure, said Dr. Hamad ibn Abdullah Al-Manie, director general of the health affairs in Riyadh. The order order will be implemented under the supervision of the religious awareness department.
