JEDDAH, 9 February — A Saudi in Dammam has expressed his shock at being asked by a restaurant on Alkhobar Corniche to show his ID so that he could take a meal there with family, Okaz newspaper reported yesterday. "We are used to presenting IDs at hotels and furnished villas, but this is the first time we have been asked to do so in a restaurant," the Saudi told the daily.
