JEDDAH, 10 February — The Commerce Ministry will supply 10 million meals, three million cartons of fruit juice and 10 million kilograms of fresh fruit in the holy sites during the Haj season, according to Muhammad Al-Harbi, director of the ministry’s office in the Makkah region. He said that 55 refrigerated trucks will be stationed in the holy sites from which the various foodstuffs will be sold. In addition, 1,500 small trucks will be driving around selling foodstuffs in Makkah, Mina, Arafat and Muzdalifa. Arrangements have also been made to distribute 40 million loaves of bread in the holy places, Al-Harbi told Arab News. In Makkah, the local municipality has set up 565 fast food outlets.
