CAIRO, 12 February — Saudi Ambassador to Egypt Ibrahim Al-Barahim has confirmed that forged Haj visas found with some Egyptian pilgrims were not issued by the Saudi mission. In a statement to the Saudi Press Agency, Al-Barahim ruled out the possibility of anyone making use of the forged documents. The ambassador warned that any pilgrim without a valid visa will be turned back from the entry points.

Maj. Gen. Abdul Aziz Al-Sajeeni, director general of the Passports Department, will visit Prince Muhammad Airport in Madinah today to inspect arrangements made by his department to detect forgery of documents. The director general will also inspect the offices of the Passports Department on the Makkah-Madinah Expressway.
