JEDDAH, 22 February - A drunken motorist driving at high speed lost control and collided with a car coming in the opposite direction on the Tahliah Street here, Al-Madinah newspaper reported yesterday. Saleh Al-Ghamdi, the driver of the oncoming car, was seriously injured and his wife seated next to him was killed on the spot. Col. Saeed Al-Ghamdi of Jeddah Traffic Department said accidents could be prevented to some extent if the present height of concrete dividers separating the one-way motor lanes were raised.
