JEDDAH, 1 March — Authorities have deported nearly 500 overstayers who had come to the Kingdom by sea on Umrah visas, Haj Ministry sources told Arab News.
They also said that the first pilgrim ship carrying 760 faithful left the Jeddah Islamic Port on Wednesday for Egypt. Some 25,000 pilgrims have come from Egypt and Sudan by sea for Haj this year.
