KARACHI, 4 March 2002 — The wife of Amjad Farooqi, one of the prime suspects in the kidnapping of slain American journalist, Daniel Pearl, was arrested Saturday night. She is being interrogated about her husband, sources here said. Officials said she was arrested in a village in Faisalabad in Punjab. She was in her father’s house when rounded up. Police have been looking for at least seven more suspects, including Amjad Farooqi, who was last seen with Pearl in Faisabalad along with Sheikh Omar, the key suspect in the case.
