MANILA, 10 March — The Philippine market again went on a rollercoaster ride last week in the absence of really good or bad news, following merely technical dictates like profit-taking and bargain hunting.
The composite index, however, ended on a positive note and closed over 1.5 percent higher at 1,432.19 points, meaning a gain of 21.77 points.
Value turnover nearly doubled and rose 85.84 percent to 5.15 billion pesos ($100.98 million).
Trading reached 4.35 billion shares, an increase of 68.46 percent.
