JEDDAH, 5 April - Grand Mufti of Saudi Arabia Abdul Aziz ibn Abdullah Al-Sheikh has condemned the injustice inflicted on the Palestinian people by Israel.
Al-Sheikh urged all Muslims and other fair-minded people to come to the aid of the Palestinians who are subjected to brutal oppression and killings. In a statement issued on Wednesday, the Grand Mufti said it was the duty of the Muslims throughout the world to extend all possible support to their Palestinian brethren.
"We have noticed with sorrow and pain the suppression and injustice suffered by our Palestinian brothers. Innocent people have been murdered, their land and property usurped, houses demolished and civilian communities terrorized while the heavily armed Israeli Army has been fighting an unarmed people," the mufti said.
"I call on all Muslim brothers in all parts of the world to stand united and strive to help their Palestinian brothers in all possible ways to end this gross injustice," the mufti said.
He prayed to Allah to help the Palestinians and give them victory in their struggle against injustice.
