CASABLANCA, 18 April — Crown Prince Abdullah, deputy premier and commander of the National Guard, held talks here yesterday with Qatari Emir Hamad ibn Khalifa Al-Thani on the Middle East crisis. “They reviewed Israel’s invasion of the territory under the Palestinian Authority and its consequences ... and the need to stop the shedding of Palestinian blood,” the Saudi Press Agency said. The meeting at Prince Abdullah’s residence came as Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat urged Qatar to convene a summit of the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) to discuss how the Islamic states will face the Israeli challenge.
