RIYADH, 25 April — The Sri Lankan Expatriates’ Society will hold its annual charity bazaar at the Sri Lankan Embassy here today. Ambassador Ibrahim Sahib Ansar, chief patron of the organization, will be the chief guest.
Rizvi Mansoor, president of SLES, told Arab News that proceeds from sales will go to charitable projects run by the society. He said there will be stalls for the sale of Sri Lankan food, handicrafts, gems, fruits and vegetables as well as food ingredients.
The organization runs free medical clinics for Sri Lankan nationals and extends financial assistance to community members in distress.
