RIYADH, 26 April — Justice Minister Abdullah ibn Muhammad Al-Sheikh has approved the formation of a general department for legal practice in the Kingdom. This office will receive applications for lawyer’s registration and will issue licenses to practice. It will also monitor their activities. An order has also been issued to set up a committee for the registration and enrollment of lawyers, according to Abdul Rahman Al-Hautan, acting director general of the department. The department has already prepared the necessary application forms and has completed other formalities, Al-Hautan said.
