RIYADH, 2 May — Prince Sultan ibn Fahd, president of the Youth Welfare Presidency, has ordered the suspension of Zafer Abuzanda, the referee who officiated Wednesday’s final between Al-Ittihad and Al-Hilal for the King Fahd Cup, for six months effective from the beginning of the new football season.
The penal action is attributed to serious technical mistakes committed by him while refereeing the match. Al-Hilal won 2-1.
