JEDDAH, 27 June — An exploratory meeting among community leaders in Jeddah to form an alliance is set for tomorrow at the Tropicana Restaurant along Thalia St., corner Madinah Road.
Fred Castolome, vice chairman of the OFW Cooperative Council and organizer of the meeting, said that many major issues would be discussed, especially “the need to have a unified stand about issues affecting OFW’s, review of provisions of R.A. 8042 especially establishing a Filipino Resource Center in Jeddah, and futures activities at the consulate.”
Past presidents as well as present presidents of civic, sports, cultural, cooperatives, professional groups, and PTA’s are requested to attend.
The meeting starts at 7 p.m.
