RIYADH, 9 July — Commerce Ministry was investigating reports that a Saudi company had imported Israeli mobile phone handsets with the help of a foreign firm, ministry sources said. The ministry was also investigating reports about sales of mobile phones whose parts are manufactured in the Israeli branch of a British company. The sources said the Saudi authorities had confiscated a large number of these phones at King Khaled International Airport in Riyadh in April. They said the consignment did not bear the name of the country of origin and importer. — Omar Al-Zobaidy
