RIYADH, 15 July — Minister of Agriculture and Water Dr. Abdullah Muammar yesterday signed three contracts worth SR 224.7 million for using recycled sewerage water in Riyadh. The minister said the projects, to be completed in 36 months, will increase the total capacity of pumping stations from 200,000 to 600,000 cubic meters per day. The projects come within the framework of the Kingdom’s strategic plan to utilize alternative sources of water for agricultural and industrial purposes. (SPA)
