RIYADH, 16 July — The Shoura Council has called for an immediate halt to the pumping of sewage to coastal waters, valleys and rainwater canals to prevent pollution, according to Dr. Hamoud Al-Badr, secretary-general of the Shoura. He said the weekly Shoura meeting emphasized the need for setting up laboratories to test sources of pollution. The meeting also called for developing observation stations. (SPA)
