JEDDAH, 26 July — Fidel Hernandez is the new president of Parents and Teachers Council (PTC) of the Philippine International School in Jeddah (IPSJ) for schoolyear 2002-2003.
Elected with Hernandez, in an election held at the school’s compound last weekend, were Lito Lazo as vice president; Isabelo Orquia, secretary general; Nilo T. Lucena, treasurer; Ronald Mangua, auditor; Mar Marzo and Shams Junaide, public relations officers; Mohammad Bantuas and Rogel Enriquez, peace officers; Resty Vanguardia and Raymar Guadania, business managers.
Hernandez works as senior electrical engineer for the National Technical Services Company. He is an active parent in school affairs for the last six years, having been present in almost of the school’s important events.
Shortly after the election, six working committees were organized that will coordinate and monitor, with the present management committee, the activities of the school and its students.
Ronald Mangua, former PTC president, now heads the audit committee.
The other appointees were Lito Lazo, who chairs the administration and finance; Nilo Lucena, who retained the chairmanship of the election committee; Rogel Enriquez, Resty Vanguardia and Reymar Guadania as chairmen of academics, sports and social affairs.
