BAHA, 27 July — Authorities have arrested a housemaid for allegedly stealing SR42,000 from the bag of an old Saudi woman in Baljur-ashi, Al-Watan reported
The paper said the maid, who worked for the Saudi woman, confessed to the crime during police interrogation. The maid had hidden the money as well as some ornaments inside an old door. The Saudi woman, aged 70, expressed astonishment over the maid’s behavior as she had paid her three months salary in advance.
