RIYADH, 1 August — The Kingdom has lifted the ban on sheep meat import from Pakistan after the country’s ambassador gave assurances that Islamabad would abide by Saudi conditions, an official statement said. “The Pakistani side agreed to abide by the conditions for the export of fresh and frozen meat of sheep and goat to the Kingdom. The Saudi side then agreed to lift the ban,” the statement added. The accord came following a meeting between Commerce Minister Osama Faqeeh and Pakistani Ambassador Muhammad Assad Durrani. (SPA)
