DAMMAM, 3 August — A recent study has found that the number of women smokers in Jeddah, Riyadh and the Eastern Province has increased by 10 percent. Some girls develop the habit from an early age while in the company of women addicts. In some cases, the habit is copied from parents. The toxic contents in tobacco cause cancer. The study also pointed out that the incidence of cancer among smokers is 16 times more than among non-smokers. The commonly shared shisha smoking also leads to spreading contagious diseases from one smoker to another.
