DAMMAM, 5 August — Chiyoda Corporation of Japan and Chiyoda Petrostar of Saudi Arabia have jointly won an SR1.5 billion ($400 million) contract to establish a methanol factory at the Jubail Industrial City. The factory will have a daily capacity to produce 2,900 metric tons of methanol. The International Saudi Petrochemical Company, owner of the factory, yesterday disclosed the participation of the Japanese firm in the project.
