RIYADH, 7 August — Saudi authorities have seized about 200 tons of European chicken at the Kingdom’s ports after they were found to contain artificial hormones. The consignments are held up at King Abdul Aziz Port in Dammam and Jeddah Islamic Port. The move comes following a Commerce Ministry ban on imports of chicken and its products containing artificial hormones, which are dangerous to health.
