RIYADH, 19 August — Industry and Electricity Minister Dr. Hashim Yamani has endorsed a ministerial decision allowing electricity sales to major industries at a special discounted rate depending on their annual consumption, informed sources told Arab News. At present industries are charged 12 halalas per kilowatt without considering the volume of power they consume. Industries that consume more than 10 megawatt can apply to the Saudi Electricity Company to avail of the new concession. — Khaled Al-Saif
