JEDDAH, 20 August — The Jeddah office of the World Assembly of Muslim Youth (WAMY) recently supplied the Amanullah Islamic Complex in Sudan with hundreds of educational books and several copies of the Holy Qur’an in response to a request, according to Dr. Abdul Wahab Noor Wali, assistant secretary-general of WAMY. In a statement, Dr. Wali said: “The supply of books came in line with WAMY’s efforts to disseminate knowledge and help people all over the world to understand and memorize the Holy Qur’an. WAMY’s Jeddah office alone had spent around SR600,000 on 206 Qur’an memorization centers in eight countries and sent over 150,000 educational and Islamic books to a number of countries where such books are in short supply.” (SPA)
