JEDDAH, 13 September — The Saudi Telecom Company has exempted 50 subscribers who were the victims of swindlers from paying SR2 million in unpaid mobile phone bills, Al-Watan daily reported. An STC official had helped a Saudi to get the phone lines allocated without the knowledge of the 50 people and rent them to expatriates. These innocent people, who were mostly aged men and women, were exonerated from the responsibility of paying the bills following the arrest of the suspect and his subsequent confession.
