BURAIDAH, 18 September — Prince Sultan, second deputy premier and minister of defense, who arrived here yesterday at the start of a visit to Qasim region, has scheduled a number of programs in Buraidah and Onaizah.
His programs for today include inauguration of an SR90 million Al-Othaim shopping mall here. In a statement, Abdullah ibn Saleh Al-Othaim, head of Al-Othaim Trading Company, said the mall houses more than 200 shops.
In the evening, he will open a new maternity hospital. Dr. Khaled ibn Mohammed Al-Jasirthe, director of the hospital, said the 250-bed facility cost SR200 million to build and equip.
Also today in Onaizah, Prince Sultan will lay the foundation stone for Princess Nora Al-Faisal Project for Family Care.
Spread over on an area of 25,000 square meters, the project includes the Heritage Revival Center which will, among other activities, organize courses in the Holy Qur’an memorization and recitation, computers, English language and family and children’s programs. (SPA)
