RIYADH, 20 September — The government will open five new colleges, including two technical colleges for girls, in the Jouf region, according to Prince Abdul Ilah, governor of the region.
Speaking to Al-Watan, he said the governorate would allocate SR2 billion for new road projects.
"The foundation stone for King Abdul Aziz Hospital in Jouf will be laid within a few days," the prince said, adding that the hospital will have 400 beds. "Efforts are also under way to beef up the security machinery in the region," he added.
The governor disclosed that Prince Sultan, second deputy premier and minister of defense and aviation, would visit the region after Ramadan.
He blamed Saudi Arabian Airlines for not operating adequate number of flights to the region.
The prince highlighted investment prospects in Jouf and called upon Saudi businessmen to invest in the region.
