RIYADH, 24 Sept. – The Riyadh chapter of the Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accontant will elect its officers for 2003 at the Riyadh Palace Hotel on Thursday.
Registration starts at 3:30 p.m. and the program begins at 5 p.m., the group said.
With the theme, "Together Onwards: Strengthening the Future," the event will also showcase a group dynamics seminar entitlted "Emotional Intelligence; An Inward and Practical Workshop."
Rufino ‘Ron’ Jacobe, Jr., considered to be one of the best Filipino speakers and trainers in Riyadh, will conduct the seminar which will focus on emotional intelligence as applied to the work environment.
The seminar is expected to be yet another milestone for PICPA members "as it will help tap that special faculty in every member’s mind that will enable them to crystallize their abilities to overcome and manage difficulties and anxieties in their professional work, especially now that downsizing and Saudization is in the works in many companies," explained Primar Asuncion, chapter president.
He added that in attending the quarterly general membership, each member will not only gain useful and practical insights about the accounting profession but also have an opportunity to gain additional points that will enable them to win valuable prizes, including a round trip Riyadh-Manila ticket when the last membership meeting for the current year will be held sometime in November.
Ambassador Bahnarim A. Guinomla has been invited as guest of honor and inspirational speaker.
Founded in 1992, the chapter received the prestigious "Banaag Award," the presidential citation for filipino individuals and organizations overseas, on Dec. 13, 1996 from then President Fidel V. Ramos.
