RIYADH, 24 September — The Council of Saudi Chambers of Commerce and Industry (CSCCI) has called upon Saudi Arabian Airlines to operate direct or indirect flights to Vietnam and Cambodia to facilitate recruitment of manpower from the two countries.

A high-level source said the National Recruitment Committee’s talks with their counterparts in Vietnam to supply technical manpower and domestic servants had positive results."We are also studying prospects of recruiting manpower from China, Cambodia and other countries which offer alternative sources of manpower," the source said. He said a number of delegations from the committee had visited Vietnam and Cambodia to explore recruitment prospects.

Meanwhile, the source emphasized the need for taking effective steps to prevent domestic servants running away from their sponsors. "An average of 20 workers run away from their sponsors daily," he added.
