MADINAH, 9 October — Five children died and their parents injured in a big fire that hit an old house here on Sunday while its residents were sleeping, Al-Bilad reported yesterday, quoting Brig. Ali Al-Otaibi, director of civil defense in the Madinah region. According to the Arabic daily, the fire, triggered by an electrical short circuit caused by poor wiring, engulfed the whole house. The parents,however, managed to get out of the house with two small children.
