RIYADH, 15 October — Maj. Gen. Abdul Aziz Sajeeni, director general of the Passport Department, said his department was coordinating with related authorities to start fingerprinting expatriate workers and visitors. Speaking to Al-Jazirah newspaper, he said fingerprinting pilgrims during the last Haj season was successful. He denied reports that the immigration department was preventing those who failed to pay traffic fines from traveling abroad. However, he pointed out that payment of traffic fines was linked to procedures at Civil Status, recruitment and passports departments.
