RIYADH, 17 October — If you have a golden voice but had restricted your singing in the shower room so far, now is the time to come out and let others hear it.

The Filipino Expatriates Sports & Socio-Cultural Organization of Riyadh (FESSCOR) is looking for talents and it is willing to help you develop what you have.

Auditions for the group's second batch of talents will be held every Friday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. starting Oct. 25 until December. These will be held at the bowling center of Riyadh Inter-Continental Hotel.

Aside from singers, the audition is also open to musicians, choreographers, fashion designers, models, actors, stage directors, musical directors, and composers, among others.

"Anyone could be a member of our pool of talents, whether he or she is a professional or an amateur singer, dancer, or model. There is no age limit, as long as they have the enthusiasm and willingness to participate in any of our activities," said Art Capulong, FESSCOR president.

Those who will audition are to be classified for their chosen field of interests. FESSCOR also conducts workshop for its members to "explore and enhance their craft."

"We believe that the ultimate protection of Filipino expatriates is in the honing of their skills and talents. In this respect, our organization is in the initial plan of setting up a Learning and Development Center for conducting educational short courses, training, workshops and seminars," Capulong added.

The planned center aims to develop charm and personality, conduct voice lesson, hairdressing and cosmetology, culinary arts, business management, and public speaking.

At present, FESSCOR has 162 members, and most of them had already been invited by some Filipino organizations to perform in various functions and activities in the community.

Among the members who are into sports are 20 basketball players, 13 volleyball players and 34 bowlers.

Currently, the group is sponsoring a bowling league participated with 14 teams participating every Friday from 1:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the bowling center of Riyadh Inter-Continental Hotel.

FESSCOR is a non-profit organization registered with the Philippine Embassy on March 26, 2002.
