JIZAN, 18 October — Mohammed Hasan Ayyub, director of health in Jizan, has fired two government hospital directors in the region for negligence in carrying out their responsibilities. Speaking to Arab News, Ayyub said the measure was taken as part of efforts to improve health services in the region. The sacked officials were directors of Sabya General Hospital and Abu Areesh General Hospital. Ayyub had also fired the director of primary health care center in Abu Areesh, technical supervisor in Beesh and director of clinics and emergency ward at Abu Areesh General Hospital.
