JEDDAH, 28 October — A function will be organized jointly by Idara-e-Sahaab (a quarterly Urdu literary magazine) and "Dabistaan-e-Jigar" a literary organization to launch "Waaraftagi" a collection of poems by poet Mohsin Alavi. The function will be held on Oct. 31 at 8:30 p.m. in Shaheen Restaurant, Aziziyah. Consul General of Pakistan Tahir Iqbal Butt will preside at the function while renowned scholar Qari Sahibzada Abdul Basit will be the chief guest. Athar Nafees Abbasi, Syed Qamar Haider Qamar, Naseem-e-Sehar, Naeem Bazaidpuri and Dr. Hussain Piracha will read out their papers on the occasion.
