CAIRO, 7 November — Riyadh has been chosen the most beautiful city in the Gulf by an opinion poll conducted by the American Al-Saqr newspaper. More than 5,200 citizens of the six Gulf Cooperation Council states — Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman and Qatar — took part in the poll. The participants were interviewed by the newspaper during visits to the United States and Egypt. Saudi Ambassador to Egypt Ibrahim Al-Ibrahim received a shield from Muetaz Salahuddin, the daily’s chairman, on behalf of Riyadh Governor Prince Salman. (SPA)
