RIYADH, 8 November — Bangladeshis yesterday observed National Revolution and Solidarity Day at a function held at their country’s embassy here. Ambassador S. K. Sharjil Hassan hoisted the national flag and special messages from President Iajuddin Ahmad and Prime Minister Khaleda Zia were read out. They highlighted the significance of Nov.7 in Bangladeshi calendar and called upon all Bangladeshis to strengthen their solidarity and unity.
On Nov. 7, 1975 the armed forces joined hands with the people to pretect the independence and sovereignty of the country. Embassy staff, officials of Bangladesh Biman and staff of Bangladesh international schools and members of Bangladesh communmity attended the program.
