RIYADH, 10 November 2002 —- Prince Sultan, second deputy premier and minister of defense and aviation, yesterday hoped that the return of UN weapons inspectors to Baghdad would save Iraq as well as the region from a devastating war. “We hope that the return of international arms inspectors to Iraq will bring peace and security to the region and save Iraq and its people from danger and destruction,” the prince told the Shoura Council. He emphasized that Iraq’s territorial integrity must be protected. In his keynote address, Prince Sultan said the Kingdom will play an active role in the comity of nations to establish world peace and security in spite of the anti-Saudi smear campaign. (SPA)
