RIYADH, 13 November 2002 — Twenty-five Saudi female photographers will take part in a photo exhibition, which opens at King Abdul Aziz Library’s branch in Marbae today.
Princess Adila bint Abdullah will inaugurate the six-day show organized by King Abdul Aziz Foundation for the Talented in association with ExxonMobil.
The exhibition, which is the first of its kind, aims at highlighting the capabilities and talents of Saudi female photographers.
Eisa ibn Saleh Angawi, chairman of House of Photographers and member of the selection committee, praised the quality and topics of photographs which will go on display.
Hamad Al-Abdali, another member of the committee, expressed hope that similar exhibitions will be held in all parts of the Kingdom.
Madeeha Al-Ajroush, a committee member, called for an annual photographic exhibition in the Kingdom.
