RIYADH, 17 November 2002 — Eighty-five Iraqis have been arrested for smuggling alcohol into Saudi Arabia and fined a total of $23,000, Al-Madinah newspaper reported yesterday. The daily said border guards had found 671 bottles of alcohol at Arar border post which only opened this month after being closed since Iraq invaded Kuwait in 1990.
