WASHINGTON, 26 November 2002 — A Muslim group has filed a complaint against prominent US defense attorney Alan Dershowitz of O.J. Simpson fame, accusing him of violating professional ethics by calling for destruction of Palestinian homes. Dershowitz, a Harvard Law Professor and regular guest on prime time talk shows, sparked the group’s anger after he advised the Israeli government to establish a “waiting list” of Palestinian villages scheduled for destruction as a means of deterring future bombers. The controversial suggestions were made in an editorial published last March in the Jerusalem Post and the New York Daily News. (AFP)
