JEDDAH, 1 December 2002 — A housewife shot at a stranger who came looking for her husband and wounded him seriously in Jizan recently, Al-Madinah reported yesterday.
The woman was in the company of some female guests when a man knocked on the door asking for her husband. She told him that the husband was away and asked the man to go away and come back after the husband’s return. As the man still hung around in a suspicious manner, the woman took a gun and threatened to shoot if he did not leave immediately. The man thought she was joking. But it was too late when he realized that she was serious and the bullet had hit him. Police rushed him to a nearby hospital and are holding an inquiry.
