JEDDAH, 4 December 2002 — Nine people were killed when two cars collided almost simultaneously with a tanker truck on the Makkah-Taif highway, a newspaper reported yesterday. The crash happened Monday evening on the main link road between the two cities, Al-Jazirah daily said. On Saturday, 17 pilgrims were killed and 22 injured when a bus collided with a lorry close to Riyadh, press reports said.
