Documentary film on Prophet Muhammad to air next week

ALEXANDRIA, Va., 7 December 2002 — Michel Wolfe and Alexander Kronemer, co-producers of the documentary film, "Muhammad: Legacy of a Prophet," said it will be aired on the PBS network next week. The documentary was funded by public donations.

It is scheduled for its first national prime-time broadcast on Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2002, 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. on most stations -- but check local listings, as times may vary. After that, the film will be available in VHS video and DVD formats for use in communities, religious institutions, and schools.

“Our approach has been to follow the Prophet's biography by combining historical material with the words and stories of contemporary American Muslims. It should appeal to a wide general audience."
