RIYADH, 16 December 2002 — The submission of nominations for the Bagong Bayani (New Heroes) awards has been moved from Nov. 30 to Dec. 30, a press statement from the Philippine Embassy in Riyadh yesterday said.
The statement said the Department of Labor and Employment in Manila has also reduced the number of awardees from 20 to 10 from both the land-based and sea-based sectors.
Nominations are to be submitted to the Bagong Bayani Foundation, Inc. (BBFI) Secretariat in Manila. Selection of the winners will be done by the foundation’s Board of Directors.
