Fujitsu Siemens Computers (FSC) has extended its distribution agreement with Tech Data to include Saudi Arabia, as a result of the growth in the business during the first year of its tie-up with the company. “With an 85 percent growth of our business with Tech Data for this year, we are glad to extend our strategic relationship to include the promising market of Saudi Arabia,” said Farid Sabbagh, FSC Distribution Sales Manager. “The computer reseller channel in the region quickly endorsed the Fujitsu Siemens brand because of its quality, leading edge technology, its most versatile mobility options, competitive pricing and great customer support,” said Ahmed Al-Azzawi, PC Business Vertical Business Unit Manager, Tech Data. Launched in 1999, Futitsu Siemens Computers offers a portfolio that includes notebooks, personal computers, workstations, Intel and Unix based servers, mainframes and storage solutions with its key areas of focus being Mobility and Business Critical Computing. Last year Tech Data distributed Futitsu Siemens products in the UAE, Oman, Bahrain and Qatar markets. “When we took the FSC brand onboard last year, we committed to map the successful partnership that our companies have created in Europe to the Middle East. We have achieved that through phenomenal growth and will work to achieve the same in Saudi Arabia,” commented Al-Azzawi. Tech Data has a mature and active reseller customer base in Saudi Arabia and is capitalizing on several growth opportunities in the Saudi market. By working together FSA and Tech Data plan to implement educational, training and marketing initiatives to add value to resellers, and build their channel strategy and programs in the Kingdom.
