Zahid Heanor, one of the top five transport companies in Saudi Arabia, has modernized its business management processes with Sage Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software. The solution was implemented by Modern Computers and Communication Company (MCC), a Sage Enterprise Partner.

According to Prakash Mani, general manager, Zahid Heanor, Sage ERP was chosen because “it was easy to use and quick to implement. The system was bilingual and we could enter certain customer information in Arabic. Prior to Sage, we were using an in-house system that did not offer us an upgrade path. We also wanted to modernize our current systems and procedures.”

“Sage has streamlined our invoicing process thus saving us time,” added Khaled Gamal, finance manager, Zahid Heanor. “We’ve reduced outstanding receipts using better credit control. We’ve also improved inventory management of our vehicle spare parts using Sage. This has reduced delays in vehicle service and overstocking of expensive vehicle parts. In the future, we plan to streamline shipment tracking using software integrated to Sage. We also plan to use Sage to improve our vehicle maintenance scheduling.

Commenting on the successful implementation, Nasser Bayram, executive vice president, MCC said, “Sage has improved data visibility and decision making in Zahid Heanor. They can now analyze profitability by customer, vehicle or route and focus on the most profitable business. This is very important for a company with a fleet of 350 vehicles, spread out in nearly twenty locations.”
