RIYADH, 24 October 2003 — Saudi shares closed the week yesterday down 2.6 percent as a result of a decline in trading volume of the majority of blue chip stocks, Bakheet Financial Advisers (BFA) said.
The Tadawul All-Shares Index (TASI) finished the week at 4,078.34 points, down from last Thursday’s closing of 4,186.29.
Trading value this week reached SR9.4 billion ($2.5 billion), down on last week’s SR14.1 billion ($3.7 billion). The stock prices of 57 companies dropped, seven increased, three were unchanged and two did not trade.
