MANAMA, 27 October 2003 — Bahrain-based TAIB Bank E.C. has announced the launch of three new Islamic Investment Funds, two of which are the first of their kind in the world. “We’re happy and pleased to announce the launch of three new mutual funds, which enlarge the family of TAIB’s wealth-management offerings,” its Vice Chairman and CEO Iqbal G. Mamdani said. “The three funds offer investors yet another channel to superior Islamic investments through TAIB Bank, since all of them will be Shariah compliant in every respect,” he added. The funds — TAIB Islamic UK Equities Index Fund, TAIB Islamic GCC Equities Index Fund and TAIB Islamic Currency Fund will be available to investors from today.
