KUWAIT CITY, 27 October 2003 — Kuwait’s Mobile Telecommunications Company (MTC) yesterday reported a 57.5 percent increase in net profit for the first nine months of the year. The company announced profits of 82.12 million dinars ($273.7 million) to Sept. 30, compared to 52.14 million dinars ($173.8 million) in the same period of last year. It also more than doubled its net profits for the third quarter, posting 31.12 million dinars against 15.34 million dinars in the third quarter of 2002.
